Educere International College - Calgary, Alberta
10th Anniversary for Educere International College
October is an interesting month at EIC with a traditional Thanksgiving Feast on October 9th. The staff prepares a traditional Canadian Thanksgiving dinner that is followed by a talent show relating to harvest festivals form each of the cultures represented in our College. Then later in the month, we have a pumpkin carving contest, a costume party and events that relate to Halloween. This month's activities include Skating at the Olympic Oval, making jewelry at Beadworks and hiking and exploring the mountains as the colours of autumn are in full brilliance. We are planning a colour-tour of the Calgary area and a chance to enjoy pumpkin pie in the countryside. The Grant Francis Family are celebrating the marriage of Myla, their daughter, who has worked at the College and marketed Internationally. More cake for everyone!

Our Business English has a late start this month to accommodate our European students. The course begins on October 14 through to November 14 and we are pleased that Don Poirier MBA will be facilitating the class.

Educere is celebrating its 10th Anniversary during the months of October and November. The activities will culminate in 3 days of events, November 27-29. Watch for more details in next month's newsletter. A College tea, a pancake breakfast, free t-shirts, an International Dinner, a wine and cheese are some of the events planned for the next two months. If you have been a student during the last ten years, you will be contacted about these special events directly. Come celebrate at EIC!

Interlangues - Ottawa, Ontario
Here at Interlangues we started a new session for our Business English program in the afternoon. This session includes a series of self-contained workshops on Business Communication, Business Writing, and Presentations for Business. Our pronunciation workshops are filling up quickly. Our TOEFL class is also in full swing with previous students coming back for this highly popular program.

We have some interesting activities lined up for October. One of our teachers, who is also a registered reflexologist, will conduct a workshop on reflexology. With Halloween and autumn approaching we are making preparations for our annual Day of Mystery. Every year we celebrate Halloween with a mystery game that is fun and educational. Do you dare join us? Moo-ha-ha-ha

POINT3 Language Centre - Montreal, Quebec
September was a busy month at POINT3 Montreal! We had a super time (but a few sore muscles!) trying our hand at dragon boating, and everyone was treated to an authentic Mexican meal on Mexican Independence Day. The students enthusiastically cheered on our Montreal Expos at the Olympic Stadium, and tried out a great Indian restaurant downtown. We were also fortunate enough to see the World Press Photo Exhibit, which started its world tour right here in Montreal - some truly amazing photos.

Heading into October, the weather is getting cooler, the leaves are changing color, and POINT3 will be heading north for a day to spend the day outdoors, hiking and apple-picking. We will be going to a contemporary dance show, and to the Botanical Gardens to see the Chinese Lantern exhibit, and the students will also judge a spaghetti sauce contest! The Montreal Canadians will face off against the Ottawa Senators on the 25th, and POINT3 will be there to see it! We will end our month with Halloween celebrations: pumpkin carving, a Halloween potluck and karaoke evening, and a screening of the not so scary but oh-so-essential, "Ghostbusters"!

POINT3 is offering another great special for the month of October: register for 4 weeks or more of Intensive French or English and get 2 free tickets to a Montreal Canadians' hockey game. Hurry and register now!
