Interlangues Language Center - Ottawa, Ontario
Welcome to Interlangues! Some new and exciting things have been happening here this fall. Enrollment is high and students are beating down the doors to get into our TOEFL/TOEIC, Business English and Pronunciation classes. We have classes for every level and they are filling up quickly! We are pleased to announce our most successful season for our corporate training program as our numbers are the highest ever, and we have recently added yet another new group in Gatineau, Quebec.

For the first time in 27 years, we have students from the UAE here at our school. They are here working on their English for their future careers in business. We are so pleased to have you here at Interlangues, gentlemen. We wish you the best of luck with your studies. Enjoy Canada!

Last, but certainly not least, we are overjoyed to announce the newest member of the Interlangues team. Ilona MacDonald, our Pedagogical Advisor, gave birth to a healthy little girl. We are so happy for you Ilona and wish you and the baby all the best!

Canadian College of Business and Language - Victoria, British Columbia
It is the season once again for international students to begin registration
into Canadian College's High School Preparation Program with start dates in
January and April 2004. This is our tenth year in which we help
international students from Japan, Korea, Taiwan, Mexico, Brazil, Vietnam,
Thailand, Libya, etc. bridge their move into a private or public Canadian
high school. Success is just a Canadian bridge away. For more
information, please contact our admissions office at paula@cdncollege.bc.ca

CHURCH AND RACE CARS
Simon Sunghyun Kim of our CanadaWide office in Korea recently helped Young
Bok Lim enter into programs in both Victoria, BC and Charlottetown, PEI
schools. Young Bok, studying to follow in his father's footsteps to become
a Presbyterian minister, wanted Canadian College Director Gerry La Belle to
introduce him to a church in Victoria. We did one better than that, we
introduced him to Pastor Rob Bouchard who is also involved in an auto racing
league which hosts an annual race involving only churches. Young Bok has
now been asked to participate in the next race at Western Speedway. Now
that's what I call CanadaWide value delivered at high speed! For more
information, visit us at www.canadiancollege.ca

Study Abroad Canada - Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island
It has been a great fall on Prince Edward Island with great classes and lots of things to do. The students cooked a Thanksgiving Dinner at a kitchen sponsored by the local grocery store (Superstore). The school Halloween Party was well attended with lots of interesting costumes and pumpkins. This followed with a cycling trip this past Sunday through the beautiful fall colours of Prince Edward Island.

If you are looking for some new and exciting Canadian experiences, join us in Charlottetown. We have our exciting "Christmas in Canada" program this December, which is always a lot of fun. Most of our students think we should rename it "The Christmas and Eating Program" because there are lots of Canadian feasts. With lots of snow we will go on a sleigh ride, cut a Christmas tree, make some Christmas crafts and do lots of "Canadian" things.

In January we will have a teen winter program, with classes in the morning and activities in the afternoon. Students will participate in sleigh rides, skiing, curling and skating among other things.. There are lots of things to do. For more information, contact Study Abroad Canada or the CanadaWide office.

Register and mention this newsletter article and we will give your 4 lobsters as part of your program.

Canadian as a Second Language Institute - Vancouver, British Columbia
Many of the school's teachers and administration staff are about to be treated to a week's vacation on a Caribbean cruise. This incentive is a special "thank you" to our staff for an amazing performance this year. They will visit Miami, Bahamas, Grand Cayman, Cozumel and Key West on their trip. Director Lori-Ann will be hosting the cruise while Lawence stays behind, so it will be business as usual at the school.

Another great news item from CSLI is that starting this month, we are adding a new program called English through Movies! "English through Movies" is a new program that gives students the chance to increase their listening skills and knowledge of practical English using movies! Each week, a new movie serves as the focus for acquiring idioms, slang, and vocabulary. Additionally, conversation and listening activities will centre on the movie theme. This exciting new course is a dynamic addition to our special programs!

POINT3 Language Center - Montreal, Quebec
What went on at POINT3 in October? On the 3rd, German Reunification Day, we learned all about the history of the Berlin Wall from one of our students. She even did the presentation in both English and French!

Our spaghetti sauce contest ended up in a TIE, believe it or not! Both sauces, made by two of our staff members, were delicious; next month, a pair of students will be making more sauce for us to try... we're so spoiled at POINT3!

The Chinese lantern display at Montreal's Botanical Gardens was absolutely beautiful; we thoroughly enjoyed the walk through the greenhouses and the gardens, despite the chilly wind...

And we carved some amazing Halloween pumpkins! Most of the students who participated had never carved a pumpkin before, and took the task very seriously; the result is some very creative designs. We're looking forward to our Halloween party on Thursday night!

And don't forget to take a look at our website, www.point-3.com - you may decide to come to Montreal to learn English or French at POINT3!
