CANADIAN
COLLEGE in Victoria Celebrates Ten Year Anniversary 1993-2003
Since July 5, 1993, over 5,000 adult and teen learners chose Canadian
College of Business & Language to help them fulfill their dreams. Our
students have come to us from over 17 countries, all with the goal to
improve their lives by developing their English language skills. We
have taken great pride in being one of very few Provincially Accredited
ESL schools in British Columbia. Canadian College has always been a
leader in education. We were the first downtown ESL school; we were
the first to offer High School Preparation in Victoria and first Victoria
school to become part of a national English Network. In 1997 we opened
Canadian College of Film & Acting and became the first to combine ESL
with drama, acting & filmmaking. During the past 10 years, we also opened
Canadian College of Business, Language & Technology in Russia and China.
In the next ten years, Laurel and
Gerry La Belle and their friendly, professional staff will continue
to develop Canadian College schools, their relationships with international
agents & graduates in order to help our students achieve their goals.
Canadian College will be offering
a number of anniversary promotions beginning July 5th, so log on to
www.canadiancollege.ca
for more information.

Where
the World Meets the West July 1- July 31
Western Adventure Yahoo! This is a familiar greeting in Calgary Canada
at this time of year as we prepare for the Calgary Stampede.
Calgary is located in the heart of
the Canadian West. It is bustling with energy and enthusiasm as we make
our preparations for the largest outdoor show on earth. You will learn
English while experiencing true western hospitality, from the high-steppin'
Stampede Parade -- to the streets that are filled with western music,
dancers and free pancake breakfast on almost every corner.
July
is our month to welcome students from around the world to study and
tour the adventures of our Cowboy Culture. For the month, we study the
Cowboy theme and explore authentic western adventures like the Bar U
Ranch, horseback riding, outdoor parties and cookouts. You dress Western.
You eat buffalo burgers and share in the fun of a wild
wild West. Come to Educere International College and learn how
to line dance, lasso a horse and sing along with the music of Blue Rodeo.
This is a language learning experience that you are sure to remember.
July is our month to break loose and
enjoy the frontier past. The Legend of the West continues as we explore
movies, literature, recipes songs and cowboy culture in a warm and friendly
environment. So don't forget to Yahoo your way to EIC where you will
experience the Last Best West!
Interlangues
- Ottawa, Ontario
The
summer children's program has been kicked off at Interlangues with the
arrival of boys from the Congo. Every year we run our children's program
with many outdoor cultural activities, games, and of course: English!
Some of our activities this month
included a boat cruise of the Rideau Canal. Luckily the rain held off
until the very end! We also had the opportunity to visit the Governor
General's residence, Rideau Hall. It's going to be a great summer here
at Interlangues, so come join the fun at www.interlangues.ca!
This June, Interlangues is very proud of one of its former students
: Sabrina Sun.
Sabrina arrived from Taiwan four years ago to study English at Interlangues.
She was only 16. After 6 months she was accepted at Gloucester High
School, in grade 10. Next week Sabrina is graduating with an 80% average.
Christiane, the Director of Interlangues, has helped her in the feverish
preparation for her Prom. Sabrina has been accepted at the Department
of Music of the University of Ottawa. Congratulations Sabrina!

Learn English Quickly:
CSLI
has just released two valuable reports that all English students should
read: How to Study English Effectively at
www.csli.com/studytips, written and thoroughly researched by Mark
Ainley, our Academic specialist and an authority on this subject. Mark
is in the process of writing a book on the same subject. "Finding the
Perfect School for You" at www.csli.com/rightschool
will also help students ask the right questions in finding where to
study. This is also an excellent report to help agents identify good
schools. Next month we will have a new report on Living in Vancouver,
which will report on safety, the best accommodation, and transportation.
Boat Cruise Grad!
What
better way to enjoy a sunny afternoon than cruising around the harbour
at the CSLI Boat Cruise Graduation party! The weather was perfect, sunny
and warm, as the students enjoyed music, drinks, dancing, and a fantastic
view of one of the most beautiful cities in the world. One special student
had an added surprise by winning the one-month scholarship that goes
with the Student of the Month Award. The winner was Agata Czaplicki
from Switzerland. She contributed a lot to the school this month with
her hard work and positive attitude. She also helped organize a special
dinner to share her Polish heritage with the rest of the students. Congratulations
Agata!

Point3
Language Center - Montreal, Quebec
Summer is getting off to a whirlwind start here at POINT3 with a fantastic
array of events and activities. Our kick off event was VIP passes where
our students had the chance to see Angelina Jolie and Ethan Hawke during
the filming of their up-coming movie "Taking Lives". This past weekend,
with Montreal hosting the annual Formula 1 Grand Prix, the adrenaline
was running high at POINT3 as students and staff took part in the frenzy
of the event. Other great things to come: POINT3's annual Barbeque and
volleyball, the International Fireworks Festival, the International
Jazz-Festival, the St-Jean Baptiste parade celebrating the province
of Quebec's birthday, and much, much more.
