For our latest news and reports: Educere International
College - Calgary At the Educere International College (www.educere.ca), we really enjoy the Stampede festivities that allow us to show the energy of Calgary to our students from around the globe. Starting with the annual Parade, a wonderful display of color and diversity, on the opening morning of the Stampede, our staff and students always participate in the spirit of the festival. Some highlights this year were our annual E.I.C. Stampede breakfast, and our trip to the Stampede Rodeo. (See bull-busting Japanese student Reo Tanaka in the picture above) While the Stampede has finished for another year, our month of Cowboy activities has not, as we take a group of students to the famous Bar-U Ranch this week. This beautiful Canadian Ranch is an amazing sight, nestled on a 367-acre spread that sprawls across the rolling foothills of the Rocky Mountains. Horseback riding, Wagon rides, lassoing lessons, and down home cooking are all on the menu. Here we will sample all that the ranching lifestyle has to offer, and is sure to be a fun filled day spent in the beauty of the Alberta foothills. Village

Summer's not over yet, though. There are lots of things coming up in August. The month kicks off with the last shows of the annual Francofolies festival, a celebration of music in French. Then there's the Fantasia film festival, showing a mix of fantasy, science fiction, and classic martial arts movies. To finish off the month, there is the prestigious Montréal International Film Festival, showcasing long and short films from around the world. Don't think, however, that there's nothing to do but see movies! There is still a lot to do outdoors, from rollerblading at the Old Port of Montréal, to hiking in Mount Royal Park in the heart of the city. One must not forget, though, that Montréal is only a few hours away from two of the most beautiful cities in North America, Ottawa and Québec City. As a special to all students who register for the month of August for 4 weeks or more, we will include a trip to Ottawa or Québec City, free! Just type "Canadawide Trip" in the comments section when registering. For more information on POINT3 Language Center or details about our special offer, just email us at info@point-3.com. We hope to see you soon! Interlangues
