Karla from Mexico
What students say: "The school activities are very good and help you to speak English with other international students. The teachers are very kind and always willing to help you." - Karla from Mexico. "All teachers are unique, I feel that they are more than teachers, they are like friends. Our activity leader is Taso, who is young and plans fun activities for us. There is a very friendly atmosphere at KIOSK. All students talk to each other, it is very nice." - Soichi from Japan.

CSLI is even more famous!
If you have not yet seen the May edition of the popular Japanese magazine Madame Figaro, pick one up soon. You will see the famous directors of CSLI and their wonderful dog, Elvis. Also, check out the June edition of Suteki Recipe. As the famous cooking and lifestyle guru Harumi Kurihara just graduated from CSLI, she has some great pictures of us and some of our staff in her magazine. A special congratulations to our director, Lori-Ann Keenan, who was nominated for Vancouver's Woman of Distinction "LEARNING FOR LIFE" award. We are all excited for her and we wish her good luck.

CSLI gets into the giving spirit (again)!
This month was our annual auction for the children from 4 different countries that CSLI sponsors. The generosity of the staff, students, and homestays was, as usual, incredible. The auction was a lot of fun and the students did a great job of public speaking as they sold their gifts. This month we raised $868 to feed, dress and buy school supplies for our 4 children. When these children turn 18, they will come to CSLI on a full one-year scholarship.

POINT3 Language Centre - Montreal, Quebec
In-line skating at the Vieux Port...
A warm sunny day means that the Old Port of Montreal is packed with people cycling, jogging, picnicking, people-watching, and of course, in-line skating. Many had never tried it before and were laughing and squealing the whole time. It's harder than it looks and one of us ended up on her tuckus in the middle of busy Rue de la Commune (can you guess who?)! We will challenge ourselves again!

Graduation...
Graduation day is always a time to celebrate what we've accomplished while studying at POINT3, but it is also a little sad - we say good-bye to friends and classmates who have touched us with their experiences and unique personalities. We would like to thank all of our students for contributing to the warm ambiance and encouraging atmosphere at POINT3. Where would we be without you? In June we'll be watching the fireworks, going to the beer festival and kayaking, among a ton of other activities. Find out about all we have to offer at www.point-3.com and come and see us in Montreal!

Educere International College - Calgary, Alberta
While our principal is away marketing in Europe, we have been here cheering on the Calgary Flames. The international students at EIC have had a fun past few weeks. It was all girls when they played badminton at the Talisman Centre but that didn't stop them, and it was rumoured that their bank accounts were drained when they went shopping in Kengsington afterwards. Calgary is known for its tremendous Zoo including a new exhibit called Destination Africa. Everyone enjoyed the animals although the smells were a little overwhelming. Everyone was teaching each other the names of the animals in different languages. Myla, one of our teachers, can now say "porcupine" in 5 languages.

Since the Calgary weather was improving and the sun was shining brightly, the students were off to the driving range at Confederation Park Golf Course this past Friday. Because of this adventure their arms are a little sore but they think they are ready for the PGA tour. In our BECC program, we said goodbye to our marketing executive Maria from Telus Quebec, and welcomed Anshel from Encana Ecuador. We are also excited to announce the launch of our newest programs, Business English Lite and Business English Lite Plus, which is scheduled to start in July. Please contact us for more information.

Interlangues Language School - Ottawa, Ontario
Welcome to Interlangues! With the summer weather students have had the chance to explore Ottawa and take advantage of our beautiful city's outdoor life. They are also enjoying the summer activities always offered in our National Capital: the Blues Festival and the Chamber Music Festival kick off in a couple of weeks. This month we will take our students on a boat tour of Ottawa on the Rideau Canal, which you can see in the picture on the right.

We mentioned our TOIEC® certification last month, and students are beginning to sign up to take the test at our location. Though our children's camp and teen program are also filling up very quickly, a few spots are still available. Children from Taiwan and teens from Europe and Mexico will come especially to Interlangues to enjoy the programs, culture and fun activities that we have prepared for them. They will have the chance to improve their language skills in a natural environment as well as in the classroom. For more information on these or any of our other programs, please contact Nina at interlangues.english@on.aibn.com

Study Abroad Canada - Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island
Summer is back and everyone is in full-swing at Study Abroad Canada. Studying in Canada is more than just being in a classroom. The school is full of activities and adventure. This month we have already enjoyed a pub night, and a lobster lunch. Hmmm, lobster!!

This week we had a bike trip, wine tasting (lead by student wine tester Matias from Chile), and we will go camping. Special activities for the rest of the month include horse back riding, a movie night, a beach day, and mini golf. There is so much to do, and so little time to do it in. The sooner you start, the sooner you can join in the fun.

The best part of the whole experience is making new friends from other countries and keeping in touch by email throughout the year. A few spaces still remain, so contact Paula at admissions@CanadianCollege.ca to register today.
