Established in 1976 by its present Director, Christiane Millet, Interlangues is a multilingual training in over 50 languages. We have specialized in the training of foreign students as well as business persons. We prepare foreign students for the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) and the Test English for International Communication (TOEIC). Our teachers of English as a Second Language are all native speakers, and hold a university degree and a T.E.S.L. (Teaching English as a Second Language) certificate.

The resource centre of the English department offers our students and their teachers pedagogical material (books, cassettes, videos and CD Roms) that will suit the clients' learning styles. Our groups are small with a maximum of 7 students per group. And private instruction is also available for executives.

The school is located in the heart of downtown: Ottawa is less than 2 hours from Montreal, a mere 4 hours from Toronto and within driving distance of Niagara Falls, Québec City and New York. Ottawa is considered to be among the most beautiful and safest cities in North America.

Local Seasonal Events
Ottawa is the ideal city for cultural activities. Our students enjoy guided tours of Parliament, where they have the privilege of attending a session of Parliament and seeing the Prime Minister of Canada, his ministers and the members of Parliament (Canada's elected representatives) in action. We also visit the Governor General's residence, where the Queen's representative in Canada lives. We take our students to shows, exhibitions and concerts at the National Archives, the National Gallery and the National Arts Centre. For our sports enthusiasts we organize outings such as skating on the Rideau Canal, skiing and snowboarding in the resorts in the Ottawa area, and in the summer beach volleyball, soccer and horseback riding are some of our students' favourite activities.
