Educere Students.Our theory of learning addresses the unique goals of the individual learner. Our teaching techniques reduce the stress and anxiety associated with learning English as a Second Language. All of our instructors have university degrees in related fields of study, including teaching experience at prestigious private and international universities, and related experience in the global community.

All Educere classes emphasize the joy of learning English. Our staff interviews and pre-tests all students. Class sizes are kept small with a maximum of 15 students per class which allows for individual instruction and maximum participation.

Educere courses focus on listening, speaking, reading and writing the English language.

Other topics of study include the language of medicine, economics, international business, Canadian business law, geology, petroleum technology, computer science, and teacher education.

Summer programs (May through September) may be enhanced with a variety of extra-curricular events during each session to provide learning experiences beyond the classroom. These excursions may include activities/tours such as: Mountain Hiking, River Rafting, trips to Waterton Park, Drumheller, Columbia Ice Fields, Banff, Lake Louise, Frank Slide, Head Smashed in Buffalo Jump, Bar U Ranch, and Fort MacLeod. There is an additional fee for planned excursions.

Seasonal Events
What To Do In Calgary? Calgary has a festival for every season of the year and for each of its multicultural groups. These festivals promise good food, entertainment dancing and music for all. We have Winter Festivals, Lilac Festivals, National Play Rites Festivals, Jazz Festivals, Reggae Festivals, Multicultural Gala Nights, Folk Festivals, Rock Concerts, Comedy Festivals, Film Festivals, Carifest Caribbean Festival, Canada Day Celebrations, the Calgary Stampede Rodeo, Dragon Boat Races, Afrikadey! African Festival, Hispanic Festivals. There is always something to do in Calgary. Most of these festivals are affordable for the economy-minded student there is good fun and lots of free activities and food. Students from EIC enjoy group activities together. On a slightly more expensive note there is art and culture for the sophisticated. Activities include: mystery theatre, dinner theatre, lunch box theatre. There is chamber music, opera and ballet or the Calgary Philharmonic. On the artistic side we have Art Walks, Gallery Exhibits ad Museums Events. Calgary is rich with the arts and culture and rush seats and student seating is available at more reasonable prices if you can be flexible and adaptable. For your eating and drinking pleasure we have Coffee Houses, Wine bars, Ethnic Restaurants, Wine fests, Art and Wine Shows, Fine Wine and Food at local exhibits, Afternoon teas at the Dean’s House, Fall fairs and Canadian cuisine at Heritage Park, The Rocky Mountain Wine and Food Festivals, French Cooking, Pancake breakfasts and Barbeques. These activities are a little more expensive but fun to do with a group of students and a chance to celebrate your national days and birthdays in a small group.
